Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, old boleros and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos and any dramatic performance. Ana began learning and singing music with her mother, and commenced more serious singing training when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. Her early professional career saw her perform with many opera choruses, chamber groups and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After moving from Mexico to the United States around 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo of the traditional Latin American music at private performances. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community because of her love and love for music. Ana is also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as and The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
